<p><span style="font-size:16px">How can we reduce the administrative burden of Foreigners arriving in the city? At the EU level many steps have been done. First of all, the Regulation on the single digital gateway (SDG), that intends to make the existing Your Europe portal as the main interface for European citizens and businesses to navigate the complexities of the single market. It will assist them in finding and understanding rights and rules at EU and national level, in completing online procedures and in getting assistance where needed. To achieve such a goal, many work is needed in terms of data interoperability, personal data protection, secure cross border data exchange (e.g. considering the Once-Only Technical System), e-identity, etc. Cities have committed themselves on understanding and answering foreigners’ specific needs for years. The UserCentriCities cafè offers the possibility to share experiences about what has been done and about what is going to be done in the next future, considering emerging challenges, by a number of local authorities in Europe.</span></p>
